Favorite Ride: Last year we took a ride to the Olympic National Park. Our destination was Forks, Washington and La Push then onto Ocean Shores for the night. Riding through the forest gave way for a very scenic ride with the Pacific Ocean as our back drop.
Worst Ride: This has to be the summer of 2006-destination: the Oregon and California coastline. We left our home in Moxee at smoldering 100 degree weather. Once we hit the coastline of Oregon it started raining pretty hard. We pulled over to put on rain gear to our surprise we had left it at home. Going down the Oregon and California coastline, we rode in heavy rain for two days straight. We got into Eureka, California and by then the temperature had dropped to 50 degrees. We changed directions to get out of the cold weather elements and headed towards Redding where we ran into forest fires-a new challenge - smoke. This slowed up traffic to a stop and go mode. Humorous Ride: We were on a scenic ride to Mt. St. Helens through White Pass last summer. We were going pretty well when all of a sudden Randy began hitting at his chest and stomach; Needless to say I was a bit concerned of his behavior. He pulled over and began stripping off his shirt. He was being bitten by a bee that had found its way into his shirt, which brought everything in perspective. I couldn't help laughing when I came across this saying from an unknown author that fits this humorous ride perfectly-"catching a bee in your shirt at 7O miles per hour can double your vocabulary". Ride Motto: I have two favorites.
Rider Advice: Always pack your rain gear - it saves money in the long runs!
