When my husband, Steve, began looking at bikes I started to think, Does he really want a Harley? I did not even think that this would ever become a reality. In 2003 the Anniversary bike came out and he thought it was so cool. He would show me these bikes and tell me all about them. The more we looked at them I could tell he did want to get one. I thought the 2003 bike was cool also. As we continued to look at other bikes we would always end up looking at the Softails I have to admit I liked the look of the softails the best. So when we saw this one 2004 Heritage Softail with all the chrome and stuff already on it we thought it sure would he nice to have it! Needless to say, but we went back a few times to just look at this bike that we thought was so nice.
- You need to know that when we just look at some things, most of the time we end up getting that very thing. So I was wondering how this could actually come to pass. Well, one evening Steve came home all excited and told me we can get the bike! I said what do you mean? He said we can get it with no money out of pocket. I could not hardly believe what he was saying. So this is how we came to own our 2004 Heritage Softail!

Favorite Ride: One of them was coming home from town. We got up on the pass we live on and after awhile I started to look up into the sky it was so beautiful the sky was so full of stars~ I just leaned my head back and kept looking up at the stars Steve asked me what 1 was doing I said look up. It was a beautiful night sky. The other favorite ride is riding along the Oregon and Calif. Coast.

Worse Ride: This one was our very first ride with the group to Sunnyside for the Get Acquainted ride. The ride there was great. The lunch was great. Getting to know all the people was great. When we had to stand up and introduce ourselves and tell about our bike, I even said. and my husband thinks be has the best bike, After I sat down I was so embarrassed because of some of the looks that I got while saying that. Afterwards we rode down to Prosser and on the way back we got in a rain storm. This was our first ride in the rain. Steve was so nervous and I was scared, I could feel him tense up and he slowed down. We did not have rain clothes so I got really soaked. When I stood up to get off the bike my pants were dripping wet.

Humorous Ride: While riding down the Oregon coast into Calif. I wanted to take some pictures. So I took the camera and placed it onto Steve's helmet using it as my tripod. I even told him not to move while I was taking an ocean shot. He did not even know what I was doing. I took several ocean scenes so he was having a hard time moving his head. I finally told him, I'm taking pictures of the ocean.

Ride Motto: Always be ready to ride.

Ride Advice: Be sure to have all the things that you might need. And be prepared for weather change while riding and dress in layers when needed.
