WORST RIDE: THERE ARE TWO 1. The one you take in your mind before an unfamiliar ride that you are about to take. For I have found that if you brave what seams scary at the time you will find that it wasn’t as scary as you had imagined and you are able to do it just fine. 2. When I had been riding 6 weeks, we went to Portland and I had to go up a hill and stop at the top then make a left hand turn while still on the hill, but I fixated on a mail box straight ahead and I hit it instead of turning left. I learned just how tough Harley’s are and how the engine guards just scratch and don’t crumble like other bike guards do. HUMOROUS RIDE SITUATION: We were on the ride with the Yakima Chapter to Billings Montana for the national rally and the restaurant we stopped at had lost Jim & Alicia’s order twice, so while we were waiting all the other groups had already ate and left and we were the last group. After our meal we got on our bikes and Mike had put on his face scarf that had an imprint of a skull on it and started to leave. Well I think the restaurant thought that they were going to get robbed because we think they called the police because he was waiting for us at the only entrance to this restaurant which was a dirt road up to the highway. If they had said they were robbed he would only have to pull his car across the little dirt road and we would have been trapped. But they weren’t robbed and we were able to leave. RIDE MOTTO: Don’t let fear dictate your ride – Go on the ride and you will find that you have imagined far worse than the ride would ever be. RIDE ADVICE: For new riders – Go on a long multi-day ride where no matter the weather, YOU ARE TAKING THE BIKE ,No matter how you feel, YOU ARE TAKING THE BIKE, No matter what else you would like to do --- YOU ARE TAKING THE BIKE TO YOUR NEXT DESTINATION.
