To be a member of our local Yakima Valley H.O.G. Chapter, you must also be a member of National H.O.G.®.

A one-year, full National H.O.G.® membership is automatically issued when you purchase a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle from Owens Harley-Davidson or any other licensed Harley-Davidson® dealer.

As a new or current owner of a Harley-Davidson, one would assume you may be on the look out for a fun and friendly group to ride with. We just might have the answer for you. A chance to develop new friendships with fellow bikers, the opportunity to improve your riding skills, and of course, enjoy the wonderful experience of riding the back roads of Washington and beyond. If any or all of these things appeal to you, then those of us at Yakima Valley Harley Owners Group would like to extend an open invitation for you to come to one of our monthly membership meetings and/or come join us for a ride.

Currently Yakima Valley H.O.G. has over 180 members from every background imaginable with at least one very important thing in common, riding our Harley's. Our focus, as always, is to "Ride and Have Fun". We strive to provide as many varied riding opportunities as possible without draining your wallet dry, help you gain valuable riding experience, and to provide our members with a fun, safe, social experience along the way.

We encourage you to explore our website and check out our Safety Page for Group Riding information. Our group riding guidelines will give you valuable insight into our group riding practices and how we conduct ourselves during Chapter sponsored rides. We offer experienced Road Captains for most rides-conduct a safety briefing prior to every ride and encourage every Chapter member to complete a qualified motorcycle safety course. Actually, some of our own chapter members are state certified motorcycle safety course instructors.

Our monthly newsletter also contains safety tips and a calendar of Chapter rides and events. This information and much, much more is located here on our website. If you decide to join our chapter you will also have complete access to all areas of the website some of which is exclusive to members only.

We also cordially invite you to come down to one of our monthly membership meetings. At present we are meeting at Susie's Bistro on North First Street just down the street from Owens H-D, the second Saturday of every month with the exception of September & December. Meetings start at 8:30 AM but we encourage everyone too come early (8:00 AM) to eat the buffet style breakfast and socialize before the meeting. Don't be bashful when you come we are a friendly bunch.  Before the meeting begins if you let a chapter officer know this is your first meeting we'll pay for your breakfast.

If you are not sure what to do, look for an officer rocker on our vests or just ask anyone to point one of us out and say hello and we'll be glad to share information about our Chapter. During our fair weather months, we often schedule a ride immediately following our monthly meeting. We encourage all riders to be gassed up and ready to ride 15 minutes prior to departure time for the ride briefing. A list of rides, events, meeting places and times can be found here on the web site calendar so check there before heading out for the most current information.
