Hey everyone. Sorry this is a little late. I just got back from my 12 day, 7,700 mile road trip. I hope you all have been able to get some miles as well. I know many of you have trips of your own. Malcolm is on the road right now. Some are probably headed to Sturgis. I was just there and things are really starting to happen there.
This month we have a few things going on. Our group was asked to volunteer at the Moxee Hop Festival on Saturday the 6th for a pancake feed. Let me know if you are interested in helping out if you haven’t already volunteered. It will be from 6am til around 10ish.
The Chapter meeting is on the 13th and afterward we will be riding to Government Camp at Mt. Hood for lunch. It’s about a three hour ride there so we wont get back til around 5 or so.
Apple State’s Bike Night will be at Whistlin’ Jack on Wednesday, the 17th.
I have a charity ride on the 20th/21st with a few other guys so I didn’t schedule anything that weekend. If someone would like to get something going, I would be happy to get the word out. My ride will be a little over 1500 miles covering 9 mountain passes in the state. I have joined up with Mile Monsters Inc for the charity. Chris Hopper rode 100,000 miles in 100 days for the same charity last year. He is actually considering joining this ride. Please contact me if you would like any more info.
The Ladies of Harley Coffee Run will be on the 23rd and our dinner ride will be on the 25th to Hoptown Pizza in Donald.
The inaugural Yakima HOG Lost Boot Rally will take place on the 27th. We will need volunteers so please contact one of the officers if you can help. We will have a sign-up sheet at the meeting on the 13th. We also need some good door prizes so if you have access to anything good or know someone that might be willing to donate to our cause, let me know.
Then on Sunday, the 28th I thought we could do a 3 pass ride, White/Cayuse/Chinook. Lunch options are open.
That’s it for now. As always, I appreciate all of you for coming out and supporting the Chapter at these events!
