Well it’s hard to believe the year is almost over. We have had some fun and ridden some miles! Some of us have certainly gotten to know each other a little better. I look forward to another year of fun activities with you. Hopefully you will be able to participate in a lot of them.
For December, since the weather SUCKS, we only have the Chapter meeting on the 10th and the Christmas Party on the 17th.
For the Chapter meeting, we will be introducing something new. Hollywood has the Oscars, Broadway has the Tonys, the music industry has the Grammys. We are introducing the HOGgies. We will have ballots for various categories that you will nominate appropriate Chapter Member for to receive an official HOGgy Certificate. Some of the categories will be Cleanest and Dirtiest Bikes, Best Road Trip this year, Most helpful Member. There will be other categories, but you get the idea. Winning certificates will be presented at the Christmas Party.
Now, speaking of the Christmas Party….
Plans have been made to have it at the VFW on December 17. Mingling begins at 6 with dinner at 7. Dinner will be smoked Roast Beef. The bar will be open should you choose to imbibe. The cost is $40 per person. You can pay at the Chapter meeting next week or, if you RSVP by Sunday, the 11th, you can pay at the door. ONLY IF YOU HAVE RSVP’d. We do need an accurate head count please! You can email, call or text me for your RSVP if you can’t make the meeting on the 10th.
Reservations have been made for our annual New Years Day breakfast at the Powerhouse Grill at 10:00am. If the weather is decent (big IF!) we will have a ride to the Teapot Dome in Zillah to (hopefully) be the first HOG members in the country to get photos there for the 10 Rides for ’23 Challenge.
